NSSI has become one of the most effective representative academic voice for the Neurosurgeons working in any part of India. NSSI has been working hard over the last 12 years conducting conferences, cadaveric and live operative workshops and teaching programmes in different parts of the country which has benefitted the young neurosurgeons and the neurosurgical trainees.
I am lucky to have a very effective executive team working with me and providing me all possible support, encouragement and help in all possible ways to make this association progress by leaps and bounds.Not to mention the continuous guidances from the founder presidents. I am pleased to say that our webmaster is making great efforts for getting the website redesigned for giving better visibility to our forum. Our official journal IJNS is already indexed in the DOAJ,ESCI ,Embase,EBSCO and Pro Quest and the efforts are on to get it indexed in Pubmed soon. NSSI is a platform which gives opportunity for leadership to young neurosurgeons.
I wish all young neurosurgeons join NSSI in a big way to make our representation better felt in the international circles.

Dear Friends
This year as we reverted back from online activities to physical meetings. It has motivated us to plan for an exciting and fruitful year ahead.
On behalf of the NSSI and the Executive Council, I must congratulate the entire organising team of NSSI 2023, Hyderabad for a truly memorable event . It was even more remarkable as we had physical conference after a long gap of three years and that to in the ‘City of pearls’ Hyderabad.
It is my pleasant duty to thank Dr R.S Mittal, founder president, Dr. M.K Tewari, the immediate Past President, for all his guidance and help this last year. Dr. Altaf Ramzan has taken over as President, and I am sure he will guide NSSI this year with his inputs and ideas. Education is the foremost aim of the NSSI, with this vision we will need to add and increase teaching and educational programs across the country for the residents and young neurosurgeons.
There is so much that we can all do together using the NSSI platform, and I am sure that with the support of each one of you, each year will see new heights.
I would end by requesting that we encourage our colleagues and residents to become members of the NSSI so that they may gain from the planned activities – and we may gain from the generational experience they bring with them.
